Military OS product walkthrough Produced September 18, 2026, using synthetic local captures from September 18, 2026. Awards management This walkthrough covers the current awards workflow in Military OS, using a demonstration organisation and synthetic records. Administrators use one workspace to configure award definitions and nomination cycles, review evidence, and issue recognition from a recorded audit event. 1. Configure an award definition An award definition stores its public description, eligibility summary and nomination prompt. Configuration can also limit minimum months in the current membership term, recognitions per person, and a prerequisite award. Artwork is optional. Staff can use a generic medal, or upload a PNG or SVG replacement with alt text. The saved definition remains the source for future nomination cycles. 2. Open a dated nomination cycle Each nomination window is a dated cycle with its own status and nomination count. Staff can open review when the cycle is ready, then close it when the window ends. New nominations keep the review route recorded at submission. A chapter-routed award moves through the chapter awards officer, chapter president and association decision; a direct award goes to the association decision. 3. Review evidence in scope Reviewers see the submitted narrative alongside bounded nominee context, including membership status, home chapter and prior recognitions for this award. For chapter-routed nominations, the review queue is scoped to the assigned officer or president. Returning evidence sends it back through the defined sequence; a nomination cannot become an issued recognition before the required stages are complete. 4. Issue and display recognition When association review is complete, staff issue recognition from the recorded evidence. The recognition register links to certificate and presentation controls, while the certificate has a separate verification reference. Members can view issued awards in their account and choose whether their medals appear on their public profile. The result separates private account history, public visibility and certificate verification.
