Blog administration
This guide shows the blog, labelled News in the administrator workspace. It uses a local demonstration organisation and sample content.
The News desk lists existing stories. Use search and the status, author or tag filters to find a post. Select New story to begin.

1. Write the story
Enter a title and a short summary, then write the opening paragraph. The editor builds the story from paragraph, heading, quote and image blocks.
Use Add block to insert more content. The block controls let you change its type, move it up or down, or remove it. Undo and Redo apply to block edits.

2. Add an image
Choose an Image block and paste the address of an image. This example uses an illustration already hosted by the demonstration site. The blog editor currently accepts image links, rather than file uploads.
Add alt text that describes the image, and an optional visible caption. Full width displays the image across the content area.

3. Put text beside the image
For a split image and text layout, choose Wrap left. The image sits on the left, and the adjacent paragraph appears in the wrapped text lane on the right.
Write the text directly in that lane. It is the paragraph immediately after the image in the story. On smaller screens, the image and text stack vertically.

4. Change the image position
Choose Wrap right to put the image on the right with its paragraph on the left. The image description, caption and paragraph are retained.
Use the alignment control to choose the layout for this image. Review each image and its adjacent text before saving.

5. Review the article
Open Reader preview to review the title, summary and article blocks together. Check the image position, the paragraph beside it and the caption.
The preview reflects the current editor content. Opening it does not save or publish the story.

6. Review story settings
Story settings contains the URL slug, spotlight, chapter and tags. Leave the slug blank to generate it from the title. A new story is attributed to the signed-in person.
Main feed approved controls approval into the main News feed. Only authorised blog administrators can approve it. The first approval assigns the publish timestamp. Leave it unchecked to save this new story as a draft.

7. Save the draft
Select Save story to store the article. This demonstration saves a draft with main-feed approval left off, then reloads it to check that the text and image settings were stored.
The status still reads Draft, with an updated timestamp. Return to News to find the story and continue editing. No public story was published for this recording.
