Setting up awards and nomination rules
Staff can set up each award, choose when nominations are open, and apply the same membership and previous-award checks to every nomination.
Setting up an award
Staff record the award name, public description, nomination instructions, image, and rules. They then add the dates when nominations and review are open.
The award can be used again in a later year with new dates. Staff do not need to create another copy of the award.
Rules available to staff
Staff can require a current membership, a minimum number of months in that membership, a previous award, or a limit on how many times one person may receive the award.
Staff can also close an award to new nomination periods. Earlier nominations and completed awards remain available.
Checking each nomination
When a nomination is submitted, Military OS checks the nominee's membership and any other rules selected for that award.
The nomination keeps the date and rules used for that check. Changing the award later does not change an earlier nomination.
Reviewing and recording the award
A nomination moves through submitted, under review, needs changes, approved, declined, and issued. Reviewers can keep notes and see the status history. An approved nomination must be marked as issued before it appears as a completed award.
Clients can change the award information and choose from the available rules. They cannot add their own software rules, review stages, or special permissions.
