Reading materials for event attendees

Military OS supports approved reading text within association and chapter events. Organisers can add and edit readings. Signed-in attendees with a current ticket for that event can access them.

Questions with source excerpts

An optional AI assistant uses the event's reading materials to answer questions. Answers include quoted excerpts linked to the stored readings. The application checks that each quoted passage exists in the supplied text.

These checks confirm the source of a quotation; they do not guarantee that the AI's explanation is correct.

Off by default, controlled by organisers

AI questions are off by default for each event. Existing event administrators can turn them on or off, and changes are recorded in the activity log. Turning questions off preserves access to the readings and blocks answers still being prepared from being returned.

The assistant answers questions about the text. It does not send questions to speakers or represent their personal responses.

Current scope

The current implementation accepts pasted text: up to eight readings per event, with limits of 12,000 characters per reading and 60,000 across the event. PDF upload is not yet available.

AI questions also require a configured Amazon Bedrock connection. Local permission, database and browser checks have passed. Live-model answer quality and prompt-cache savings have not yet been evaluated.
