Event sponsors and partner account access
Event records can select and order sponsors, while organization records manage relationship types, contacts, and portal access separately.
Event sponsor settings
The event editor lists organizations that can be assigned to an event. Each selected sponsor has an order value. The same ordered sponsor data is used on the public event list, event detail page, and issued tickets.
An association-wide sponsor can appear on every event. An event-specific sponsor appears only on the events where it is selected.
Organization records
An organization record stores its name, logo, website, status, and relationship types. Relationship types include sponsor, exhibitor, corporate partner, and vendor.
Contacts and portal access
Organization contacts are stored separately from organization relationship types. A contact can have a role such as billing, marketing, or organization administration.
Recording a sponsorship or exhibitor relationship does not grant account access. Portal access is assigned to a specific person for a specific organization.
