Automatic paid membership renewals
Members can choose a one-off annual payment or an automatic annual renewal. Each successful recurring payment creates its own payment record and membership term.
Starting automatic renewal
The member signs in, selects an annual product, and confirms the recurring payment in Stripe. Gift, lifetime, complimentary, and imported memberships cannot start automatic renewal.
Recording each renewal
A verified paid Stripe invoice creates a payment record and the next non-overlapping membership term together. Repeated webhook delivery returns the existing result instead of creating another term.
Payment failures and cancellation
A failed invoice marks the renewal agreement as needing attention. It does not remove a membership term that has already been paid for. Members can update payment details through Stripe and schedule cancellation at the end of the current subscription period.
