Sending event updates to ticket holders
Event staff can select current ticket holders, send a plain-text message, and review how many messages were sent or failed.
Selecting recipients
The recipient list comes from the event's current tickets. It can include members and guests. A revoked ticket is not included.
When more than one ticket uses the same email address, the address appears once. Military OS keeps the ticket numbers connected to that recipient.
Writing the message
Event staff enter a subject and a plain-text message, then choose the ticket holders who should receive it. The public event-page link is added to the email automatically.
Private links for virtual or hybrid events remain in the separate online-access reminder. They are not added to a general event message.
Recording each delivery
Before sending, Military OS records the selected email address and its current tickets. It then records whether each delivery was sent or failed through the client's configured Amazon email service.
Stored history
The recent-message list keeps the subject, message, time, and delivery totals. The message and recipient records are included in the client's portable export.
The administration activity record stores who sent the message, which event it concerned, and the sent and failed totals. This feature is for event information such as room changes, arrival details, or schedule updates. It is not a newsletter or marketing campaign tool.
