Definition

A reusable name and description for a training item or qualification. A definition does not prove anyone has completed it.

Association-run completion

Staff record a person's completion of an association-created training item, with a retained association source and recorder.

Verification

The recorded staff check of the source and evidence. Recording an external source does not perform an automatic provider check.

Association acceptance

A separate association decision to use a person's record for its own purposes. It is not external accreditation or universal recognition.

Validity and revocation

Issue/expiry dates and revocation are independent of verification and acceptance. An old verification is not a guarantee of current validity.

Provider integration

An automated connection to a third-party training service. These integrations are not available yet; they can be added on association request, with provider and workflow agreed first.
