Terms in this tutorial
Expand a term while you watch. The video keeps playing.
Unit One named part of the association. Capital Chapter sits within Northern State in this example.
Owning unit The unit responsible for the original story. A listing elsewhere keeps its author and original article address.
Publication Making the original article public on its owning unit’s News page. This is separate from approval for another feed.
Listing destination The particular unit whose News feed is being requested. A Chapter can request National directly; State and National decide independently.
Pending articles The published child-unit stories requesting a place in the selected unit’s News feed. Unpublished drafts remain private.
Review access Explicit permission to decide listings for a destination. An approval or officer title does not grant access to edit the original story.
Markdown Simple typed symbols for formatting text, such as **bold**. Formatting help shows examples, and Reader preview shows the result.
Public photo upload An uploaded picture is public immediately, even when its story is a draft. Save the story to retain the image link, description and caption.
Tab recovery copy Temporary unfinished writing in this browser tab. It is not a site save, excludes selected files and can disappear when the tab closes.
